Our trustees are integral to the growth of Duskholm
FAQs
Why an allowlist approach?
Duskholm is not meant to be a mass-marketed game. Pooch wants to treat Duskholm like he would his table at a TTRPG session. He wants to make friends out of the Duskholm players, and then tell stories to those friends.
Why the Haven codebase?
Pooch and leah have both been playing MUDs for a long time. No game has been as mechanically satisfying as Haven for either implementer, and many of our friends became our friends while playing Haven. We’d like to make it clear we are not a competitor to Haven; We consider Duskholm a sister MUD to Haven.
One of my friends wants to play Duskholm. Can they join me?
Absolutely. We’d love for your friends to be our friends. Your friend can get an account by using the button on the front page of this website, by contacting Pooch at pooch@duskholm.com, by friend requesting leah on Discord using her tag (@druidlock), or by joining the Duskholm community Discord, linked at the bottom of the front page, and asking for a trustee there. Alternatively, in-game, you can use the trustee ping command and get in touch with a trustee if one is online. Your friend should never have much of a wait to play Duskholm.
Can I apply to be a part of the team?
Contact Pooch or leah to start this conversation. We aren’t fooling ourselves into believing that we have every talent or every knowledge between the two of us. It’s not likely we’re looking for new in-game Duskholm immortals, but there is always a possibility for improvement around the corner for Duskholm, and we acknowledge and appreciate that fact.
